MANILA, PHILIPPINES – “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino matches Kapuso actress Carla Abellana to her doctor friend despite her health condition.
It all began with a small act of encouragement. When Kris shared news about a potential lupus diagnosis, Carla responded with a comment expressing her support and prayers. Kris, known for her playful nature, couldn’t help but playfully suggest a possible match for her friend in return.
When Carla commented on Kris’s recent social media post, she received a unique message from Kris.
On January 22, Kris provided her fans with a health update that garnered approval from her followers.
One of those who commented was Carla. She wrote: “Prayers for you, Ms Kris.”
Kris replied to Carla’s comment: “If you’re already in the process of getting annulled, we have a doctor friend based in OC who might be a great match.”
Carla didn’t respond to the commnet anymore.
Followers found Kris’s remark amusing, praising her as a skilled matchmaker.
Presently, Kris Aquino is in the United States undergoing diverse treatments for autoimmune conditions.
Carla and Tom Rodriguez became engaged in October 2020, although their engagement was only announced to the public in March 2021. They exchanged vows at the Madre de Dios Chapel in Tagaytay Midlands, Talisay, Batangas, on October 23, 2021.
However, the couple eventually decided to part ways. In June 2022, Tom disclosed in a report by Nelson Canlas on “24 Oras” on June 17 that he was officially divorced from Carla.
“Despite all my efforts, Carla had already given up on our marriage,” said Tom, who is currently on vacation in the US.
“I have accepted her decision that it is time to move forward, independent from each other. I have to teach myself how to fall out of love from her,” he added.
Despite the end of her marriage, Carla Abellana expressed her enduring belief in love. However, she mentioned that she does not envision herself entering into the institution of marriage once more.
“I still believe in love [but] aaminin ko na madaming nag-change sa perspective ko, especially with marriage,” Abellana said.
“So I really, honestly don’t see myself getting married again,” she added.
