The “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino has been out of the spotlight for a while now due to her ongoing health conditions. Recently, resurfaced clips of her past movies and shows have sparked the curiosity among fans about her well-being.
Amid growing speculation of her return to showbiz, the actress clarified she is not physically fit for work.
“I haven’t posted anything because I didn’t want all those praying for me to feel sad & lose the faith. May I clarify? I’m not yet “fit to work” because I’m very underweight [at] 37 kilos/82 pounds,” she wrote.
In her February 2025 long post, the actress reiterated her current autoimmune diseases including:
- Autoimmune Thyroiditis
- Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria
- EGPA (a rare, life threatening form of Vasculitis
- Systemic Sclerosis
- Lupus/SLE; and
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
She also revealed Fibromyalgia added to the list as her seventh autoimmune condition.
Apart from her chronic health conditions, Aquino shared she is experiencing confirmatory symptoms of Polymyositis and Mixed Connective Tissue Disease.
“Having complicated autoimmune diseases and being allergic to all NSAIDS, steroids, pain relievers, as well as antibiotics and Immunoglobulin Therapy many times the physical pain is overwhelming,” she added.
Aside from health updates, Aquino confirmed she has been single “for some time now.”
“I’ve always been honest with all of you, for some time now I have been single, no boyfriend so clearly no fiancé,” she also added, “I never gave details while we were a couple so it makes no sense to elaborate now.”
Kris Aquino is an actress and television host who gained mainstream popularity in the 90s from her film debut Pido Dida: Sabay Tayo. She became a prominent figure in Philippine entertainment through her diverse roles as talk show host, actress, and influential media personality.
