Actress Kim Chiu has sparked discussion on the topic of second chances in love after expressing her stance in an episode of It’s Showtime’s Expecially For You.
In a recent interview, she shared her personal perspective, emphasizing that it’s a decision best left to the individual.
“Ako kasi yung taong ‘pag iniwan na ‘ko… Ba’t mo ako iniwan, ‘di ba? So hindi na?” Kim Chiu stated, seemingly hesitant towards giving exes another shot.
However, she acknowledged that everyone has different experiences and perspectives.
“Iba-iba naman yan, tsaka kapag andun ka na, hindi mo talaga masasabi.” she said. “Wala talagang makakapagsabi kung ano ang magiging desisyon mo kapag nandun ka na. Today, iba sagot mo. Kahapon, iba. Baka bukas iba, diba?”
This comes after her emotional reaction to co-host Vice Ganda’s words about moving on from a past relationship, highlighting the lingering pain and difficulty associated with breakups.
Kim’s comments resonated with many, sparking debate on social media.
Some expressed agreement with her cautious approach, while others emphasized the importance of forgiveness and growth in relationships.
KimXi, also known as Kim and Xian, started dating in 2012. They didn’t reveal their romantic relationship until November 2018, in an interview with TV personality Boy Abunda.
However, in December 2023, Kim Chui formally confirmed their separation. Xian is currently associated with Irish Lee, his now-rumored new lover, before the news of their breakup broke.
