Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino unveil the poster of their movie, My Love Will Make You Disappear, set to hit the theaters on March 26, 2025.
The romantic comedy was originally set to release on February 12, 2025, however, Star Cinema announced the premiere changes earlier this year.
The poster features a close-up of the two lead actors, with Chiu playfully kissing Avelino on the cheek.
The story follows the character of Sari (Chiu), who believes she’s cursed, and Jolo (Avelino), a struggling landlord. Their bond deepens as they work together to prevent community displacement. However, the former’s fear of her curse hinders her from pursuing love.
Alongside the love team, they are joined by co-stars Karina Bautista, Benj Manalo, Lovely Abella, and Miguel Almendras.
The film is directed by Chad Vidanes, who previously worked with the on-screen couple in the Philippine adaptation of hit Korean drama series What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?.
The aforementioned series kick off Chiu and Avelino’s on-screen chemistry which the viewers love. Vidanes promised to deliver the romance and humor of KimPau in the movie.
My Love Will Make You Disappear is Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino’s first movie together. Prior to this, they worked together in the dramas Linlang and What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?.
On January 11, 2025, Star Cinema announced the release schedule change as part of their strategy to expand the studio’s presence in the North American market.
My Love Will Make You Disappear is set to hit the local theaters this March 26, 2025. The film will also hit US and Canada cinemas on March 28, 2025.
