American actor Keanu Reeves said in an interview published Monday that he has been ‘married under the eyes of God’ to co-Dracula (1992) star Winona Ryder.

In an interview with Esquire, Reeves sat down to explain a few things, including an article written about him and Ryder for being ‘technically married’ in real-life for almost 30 years.

“We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests,” Reeves said. “Winona says we are [married]. Coppola [Ford Coppola] says we are. So I guess we’re married… under the eyes of God.”

In 2018, the two actors previously addressed this during a movie promotion in Entertainment Weekly, with Ryder saying she believed the pair had wed.

“In that scene, Francis [Ford Coppola] used a real Romanian priest,” she said. “We shot the master, and he did the whole thing. So I think we’re married.”

Ryder had to remind Reeves that they had done the entire ceremony, including saying “I do.”

“Don’t you remember that?” Ryder asked Reeves. “It was on Valentine’s Day.”

“Oh my gosh, we’re married,” Reeves replied.

Reeves also talks about his comeback as Neo in The Matrix trilogy, the rumours about joining the Marvel Universe, and his obsession with motorbikes, among many others.
