Kapamilya love team Alexa Ilacad and KD Estrada, known collectively as KDLex, were crowned Prom Queen and King at the Star Magical Prom 2024.
The event, which took place on the night of March 14 at the Bellevue Hotel in Muntinlupa, Alabang, saw the two take home the crowns, much to the delight of their fans.
Garnering the most votes from the public, KDLex succeeded last year’s royals, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, proving their significant impact and popularity among their avid supporters.
The Star Magical Prom 2024 celebrated young love and talent, marking a personal milestone for the awarded couple.
In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN, KD Estrada shared, “Actually, this is my first prom ever, like. I never experienced a high school prom. It’s like healing our inner child and we are also feeling a bit youthful tonight.”
Echoing his sentiments, Alexa Ilacad revealed, “Actually, this is also my first legit prom because when I was in high school, what we had, they called it High School Night. So, I wouldn’t say it’s the same thing.”
She added, “but this is the first real prom with KD. So, I’m very happy because it’s another first for the two of us.”
Aside from being crowned as the prom’s king and queen, the couple also received the “Best Promposal” award, further highlighting the night’s theme of “Fairytale Magic” and their special bond.
The Star Magical Prom 2024 was not just a night of awards but also a showcase of young talent and beauty, as evidenced by the complete list of awardees, including Mathew Cruz and Anji Salvacion, who were honored as Royal Prince and Princess, among others.
