Social media personality, Xian Gaza, recently stirred up a buzz by suggesting Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, popularly known as KathNiel, have reconciled.
Initially, the dubbed pambansang marites teased that the pair got back together although the rumors were not yet verified because it only came from one source.
In a follow-up post, Gaza posted a photo of himself at Jeju Island, South Korea with a caption written about KathNiel.
He wrote:
“BREAKING NEWS: Kathryn Bernardo & Daniel Padilla, nagkaayos na! Kompirmd 99.9%! Yung 0.01% ay yung germs na hindi napatay ng Safeguard!”
He also implied that even if the ex-couple have sorted things out, it is still uncertain if they have officially got back together as a couple.
“Please respect their privacy.,” he added.
In response to these rumors, Min Bernardo, the mother of the actress warns the public of fake news surrounding KathNiel in a Tita Long Gumatay video.
“I know them very well. Huwag kayo masyado naniniwala sa fake news. Basta tanungin niyo na lang si Tita Long.,” she said.
Gaza then clarified in a video he was verifying the validity of speculations in his previous posts. He added, many people have witnessed the two have already made amends but he did not explicitly say they are back together.
Meanwhile, fans on X (formerly Twitter) have expressed mixed reactions to the rumors.

KathNiel, consisting of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, was a popular love team known for their on-screen and off-screen romance. They starred in several films and television series that made a mark in Philippine showbiz.
They first worked together in 2011 in the youth-oriented series “Growing Up” and gained popularity in “Princess and I.” In 2018, the two officially announced their relationship. On November 30, 2023 the pair officially ended their 11-tyear relationship.
