Exes Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia play a lie detector game to promote their new movie, Un/Happy for You. The film revolves around two exes whose paths cross again and how they navigate their new lives.

Rec•Create’s Lie Detector Game is super simple and fun. Players receive cards with questions they need to answer honestly. If they get caught lying, they face a shock and have to take a shot as a penalty.

The video opens with the couple talking about how it has been five years since they last bonded. However, they clarify that this is not the first time they’ve seen each other since the breakup.

Julia Barretto says that the movie led them to spend the most time together in five years. “I’ve been having so much on the set. I’ve been enjoying all his stories and his kwentos.”

Joshua Garcia then added, “Ako din na enjoy ko lang din yung process ng paggawa ng pelikula. And dami kong natutunan kay Juju. Antagal din kasi naming hindi nagkawork eh. Nanibago rin.”

The couple asked each other questions about their past romantic relationships. At one point, Josh asked Julia, “Kinikilig ka ba when you rewatch our scenes?” Julia answered yes.

She proved that she spoke the truth by not getting shocked. She expounded, “Of course, those were the days you know. We used to do a lot of romcoms. They were so much fun to me.”

Next, Julia asked Josh, “Mas gusto mo ba ako katrabaho ngayon o dati?” In this question, Josh preferred working with her now but she ended up getting shocked and taking a shot. 

“Ngayon. Pero seryoso, gusto ko rin ‘yung dati, ‘yung pauna. It’s just that nasa relationship kasi tayo.”

When it was his turn to ask Julia again, Josh asked, “Namiss mo ba ako nung nagsama tayo ulit sa set?” She responded, yes. 

“Well, I do love working with Josh. We really have this special dynamic. Iba ‘yung communication namin, tsaka ‘yung pagkakaintindi sa isa’t-isa pag nagtratrabaho na talaga kami. Parang may kasama ka sa laban na’to, may ka journey ka.”

In one of the questions, Josh asked Julia, “Have you ever wished I had fought for our relationship more?” To which she replied, “yes.” The actress elaborated that we all long for someone we fight for to also fight for us in return.
