Cagayan de Oro, Philippines — Following its completion, the J. R. Borja General Hospital (JRBGH) officially opened its annex building for COVID-19 Emerging and Re-Emerging Infectious Disease (ERIED) enclosure on Monday, August 16.

Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno spearheaded the open ceremony together with Chief of Hospital III Dr. Ramon F. Moreno and JRBGH Medical Doctors & Staff.

The new annex facility can accommodate up to 16 COVID-19 patients, while the ongoing construction of the 60-bed capacity at the 3rd and 4th floor South Wing (Pimentel Building) is expected to reopen soon.
