Joshua Garcia’s rumored girlfriend, Filipina-French athlete Emilienne Vigier, posted an Instagram story praising her partner’s latest movie, ‘Unhappy For You.’
“I didn’t really get to watch a lot of Filipino films growing up, so to be honest, I’ve never really seen any of your films together @garciajoshuae @juliabarretto or any directed by @awarewolves until now…,” Vigier said in her post.
“And I can’t wait to watch more because of this movie. You all have my utmost respect for the craft you all have. Making so many Filipinos happy and comforted with your undeniable talent all around the world. Salamat,” she added.

The Filipina golfer also said that Joshua Garcia deserves an award for his performance, “I couldn’t feel prouder of you. I am beyond moved, this deserves an award. Period.”
Emilienne Vigier ended her post with, “This film is so packed with love and lessons that heal so many wounds & that sometimes endings can be beautiful too.”

‘Unhappy For You’ also stars Julia Barretto as Joshua Garcia’s leading lady. Barretto’s boyfriend, Gerald Anderson, has also been a silent supporter throughout her project.
“Alam kong pinaghirapan niya iyan. I’m just ganoon, that’s why it’s been like this kaya kami naging okay for so many years kasi sinusuportahan namin ang isa’t isa,” Gerald Anderson told ABS-CBN News.

The actor also revealed that he had a hard time dealing with the fact that Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia have a history together.
“Sa totoo lang, awkward talaga ng trabaho namin, nandoon ako sa sitwasyon before. That’s why I tried to be as supportive as possible,” Anderson said.
Gerald Anderson later said that he chose to skip the film’s premier to avoid stealing the spotlight from Julia. “Pinaghirapan nila iyan and I know how hard it is to work on a movie na gusto mo mapanood ng maraming tao. You just give it to her. It’s her time.” he said.
But despite skipping the premier, Gerald Anderson will be watching ‘Unhappy For You.’
