Jonah Sison Emotionally Talks About Abusive Father on Toni Talks 1

In a heartfelt Toni Talks interview, entrepreneur Jonah Sison recounted her challenging past, detailing the abuse her mother endured at the hands of her father.

Despite facing severe physical violence that led to hospitalization, Sison’s mother remained in the relationship for years. After this incident, police captured her dad for his abuse.

To this, Toni responded, “There are really marriages that are still together because the woman chooses to forgive the husband.”

However, a lot of viewers shared their sentiments on the situation. One watcher commented, “Please remember, staying in that situation isn’t just hurting you, it’s hurting your kids too. They feel the pain, the stress, and the confusion. As a mom, it’s your responsibility to protect them and give them a safe, healthy environment to grow up in.”

“Don’t stay just because of what others might think or you’re scared of being judged. Your first priority should be your children’s well-being. Being a great mom means making choices that keep them safe, even if it’s hard,” the comment continued.

Another one wrote, “Sobrang mahalaga ang value ng isang tao because it would determine your life choices. I grew up in a home where abuse was non-negotiable by my mother. Life is sacred, not marriage. Pag may abuse na sa relationship, di na ‘yan acceptable so better leave. Otherwise, the children will pay double the price.”

The businesswoman then revealed that her dad passed in 2012 due to health problems and the effects of drinking on the body. She shared that she forgave her dad despite her traumatic husband.

When asked how she forgave her father, she shared that it was also because of her mom’s teachings. “Napatawad ko na po siya,” she said.

“Siguro po ‘yung upbringing ni mommy na huwag kaming mag tanim ng galit kay daddy. Ibigay ‘yung respect na dapat ibigay sa kanya. Tsaka may pina realize saamin si mommy na may pinagdaanan si daddy na walang nakakaintindi sa kanya.”
