LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — Jollibee Foods Corp announced on Friday that it will open its first store in Downtown Los Angeles (LA) in the second quarter of 2022 as part of its North American expansion plan.
Jollibee’s existing two locations in the Metro Los Angeles area will be joined by the new Downtown Los Angeles store. The new branch will be Jollibee’s 57th store in the United States, according to JFC.
There are now two Jollibee locations in Metro Los Angeles: 3821 Beverly Blvd. (East Hollywood) and 2700 Colorado Blvd (Eagle Rock).
“Southern California has been and will continue to be a key growth area for the brand,” Jollibee North America Business Group Head Maribeth Dela Cruz remarked.
“We couldn’t wait a moment longer to open our doors in one of the world’s most dynamic and diverse metropolitan hubs that boast such a strong sense of community among those who live and work in Downtown Los Angeles,” Dela Cruz said.
California is home to Jollibee’s first US store, which debuted in Daly City in 1998 and is still one of the company’s best-performing sites.
The company’s coming downtown Los Angeles store will be located across the Bloc at the corner of 7th and Flower St., a popular shopping location for locals, office workers, and visitors.
The new site, according to Jollibee, is a sign of regeneration for an area that is still recovering from the pandemic.
“We look forward to contributing to the vibrant food scene that exists here and serving our signature dishes to local residents and visitors from across the country and the globe, as tourism returns to the city in full force,” Dela Cruz stated.
Jollibee now has over 1,500 restaurants in 17 countries. In March, it established its first store in Vancouver, Canada, as well as their first two stores in Edinburgh and Glasgow, Scotland.
