Jericho Rosales, known for his role in the popular TV series “Pangako Sa’yo,” has affirmed his eagerness to collaborate with Kristine Hermosa again for a movie adaptation.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan Philippines, Rosales expressed that their TV series felt like an “unfinished business,” and a movie could serve as a fitting curtain call for their on-screen partnership.
The actor conveyed his desire to work with Hermosa, emphasizing that there is a sense of incompleteness in their previous collaboration.
“I’ve always said [that] I want to work with Kristine because I feel like [it’s] some sort of unfinished business when it comes to our run,” Rosales shared with the magazine.
Jericho Rosales even reached out to their shared manager to inquire about Hermosa’s interest in teaming up for a project.
“It was the 25th anniversary [of Pangako Sa’yo] just recently, and I told my manager because Kristine and I had the same manager before. I was like, ‘Hey, how is she? Do you think she’s going to be open to working with me?’” revealed the actor.
The Asian Drama King of Primetime envisions the movie showcasing their characters two decades later, emphasizing that he doesn’t want them to portray their parents.
“I don’t want us to be parents—it’s just like, rock and roll lang kasi, you know, last na,” Jericho explained.
Following his recent separation from his former wife, Kim Jones, the 44-year-old actor disclosed that he has a slate of projects lined up, keeping him occupied from 2024 to 2027.
He teased, “You’ll definitely see me in the cinemas this year.”
Meanwhile, Hermosa, who recently announced her pregnancy with husband Oyo Sotto, is expecting her sixth child.
The tandem of Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa became one of ABS-CBN’s most famous love teams, with “Pangako Sa’yo” receiving critical acclaim during its original run.
The series was later remade in 2015, starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, known as “KathNiel.”
