Iya Villania, a soon-to-be mother of five, sits down with Boy Abunda to discuss her faith and motherhood. Here, she talks about the privileges of being a mother, her dreams, and how her faith strengthens her.
In the interview, the Chika Minute host shared how God’s goodness to her, even if it wasn’t the path she envisioned.

When asked about when her perspective changed, she answered, “Na realize ko nalang siya as I was growing in faith. And then I realized, how good God has been to me. Even when hindi ‘yun ang iniisip kong tahakin, tapos that’s where He would lead me. And then it would end up to be so much better for me.”
On the other hand, on the topic of motherhood, Iya Villania shared that her dreams always include her kids. “The ambition is not just about me now. It’s really about being with the family, enjoying things together as a family. If I had a dream, Tito Boy, my dream is to just travel with my family. ‘Yun na ‘yun.”
For those asking, “Is Iya Villania pregnant?” The answer is yes. The actress and host is expecting her fifth child with her husband, Drew Arellano. Iya shared that she’s due in February and expecting a baby girl.

When asked if she and her husband fight in front of the children, she answered no. However, she didn’t expound as to why. But she pointed out that her eldest, is very observant.
She shared that one time she had a discussion with Drew and Primo asked if they were fighting. Villania explained that they were just talking about a specific situation.
Iya Villania’s kids with Drew include Primo, Leon, Alana, Astro, and their upcoming fifth baby.
Iya also talked about how her children enjoy spending time with them. “At this age, they love being with us. They still love us– And I know there’s gonna be a time when they’re gonna be with their friends. Ang hirap na ngang isipin.”
Moreover, when talking about marriage, Villania, who is now sometimes addressed as Iya Arellano said, “I really believe that a healthy and happy marriage will be the best gift we can give our children.”
She also mentioned how grateful she is for the amount of respect and love in their relationship.
