Kim Chiu and her fellow co-hosts Ogie Alcasid, MC, and Lassy delivered a breathtaking performance for the 2nd day of It’s Showtime’s “Magpasikat” special.

Ogie started his performance with an original song that reflected the struggles of veteran musicians in a world where new talents emerge constantly. His wife, Regine Velasquez, showed her support in the audience.

MC and Lassy followed after and performed a skit about the realities of carrying out your work despite personal struggles.



However, the standout of the 2nd Magpasikat special was Kim Chiu’s death-defying trapeze act with Morissette Amon singing “Isa Pang Araw.” Kim’s performance reflects the struggles of offering something new in the entertainment industry. 

“Ginagawa ko naman ang lahat. Binibigay ko ang higit pa sa dapat. Pero bakit kahit ano ang gawin ko, kulang na kulang pa rin sa inyo,” Kim stated as part of her performance.

“Pitong araw sa isang linggo nagtatrabaho ako, dahil ayoko kayong ma-disappoint. Pinagdasal ko ito, pinangarap ko ito. Pero tao rin ako, napapagod din.”

The four individuals then assembled on stage and viewed messages from their loved ones. They concluded their Magpasikat performance by delivering their messages to the audience.

The 2nd Day of It’s Showtime’s 15th Anniversary Special has become a trend throughout social media. Kim Chiu’s ‘Magpasikat’ performance, in particular has won both the netizens’ attention and overwhelming praise.



“Hirap ng team live, muntik ko na mabitawan yung cp ko sa pagbitaw ni Kim. You’re always a total performer,” one user posted.

“Kim Chiu, the last air bender,” another describes their reaction to the performance.

It’s Showtime’s ‘Magpasikat’ special continues with the performance of Vhong Navarro, Amy Perez, Darren Espanto, and Ion Perez on Wednesday, October 24.
