The Philippine official gazette has declared March 30 an additional special non-working holiday in the Philippines.
This holiday, as per Proclamation No. 368, s. 2024, is in observance of the 2024 Holy Week.
According to the proclamation signed by the President and Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, “Black Saturday, which falls on March 30 2024, has been traditionally declared a special (non-working) day throughout the country, the observance of Holy Week being one of the most cherished traditions of our predominantly Catholic People.”
