In line with the 2024 Ramadan observances, citizens ask: Is March 11, 2024, a holiday in the Philippines? Contrary to circulating rumors, March 11 has not been declared a national regular holiday, according to an announcement from the Palace on Thursday.
Consequently, The Official Gazette, on its Facebook page, clarified that the circulating document titled “Proclamation No. 729,” which allegedly declares Monday, March 11, 2024, as a national regular holiday for Eid’l Fitr, is inauthentic.
“The circulating document labeled “Proclamation No. 729,’ which allegedly declares Monday, March 11, 2024, as a nationwide regular holiday in celebration of Eid’l Fitr, is spurious,” said the Official Gazette on Facebook.
Accordingly, as of now, no official proclamation has been issued for this year’s Eid’l Fitr holiday.
With this, it is better to clarify to friends and colleagues that it is not a holiday on March 11, 2024, in the Philippines.
