Moreover, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin jointly signed Proclamation No. 460 on January 26, 2024.

Proclamation No. 460 serves as a tribute to Claro M. Recto, recognizing the importance of preserving and commemorating his legacy. As the nation looks forward to this special non-working day, citizens are encouraged to take part in commemorating his birth anniversary. This extended weekend offers an opportunity for communities to celebrate and honor the contributions of a significant figure in Philippine history.

Additionally, In observance of Al-Isra’ Wal Mi’raj, February 8, 2024 has also been declared a holiday in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and other Muslim-majority areas. Muslim government employees outside of the BARMM are also entitled to observe this holiday.
