The Philippine official gazette has declared April 11, 2024, a special non-working holiday not in the whole Philippines, but exclusively in the Municipality of Dolores, Quezon Province.

This holiday, as per Proclamation No. 504, s. 2024, is only in the said city and is in line with the celebration of its 189th Founding Anniversary. 

According to the proclamation signed by the President and Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, “it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Dolores be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration.”

The declaration emphasizes that designating April 11 as an additional special non-working holiday aims to provide the people of Dolores with a full opportunity to partake in the celebration surrounding their Founding Anniversary.
