Disney Pixar’s latest reveal has stirred excitement among fans as the first official trailer for “Inside Out 2” dropped, showcasing a blend of new emotions set to join the characters from the first film.
The sequel to the 2015 movie “Inside Out” introduces four new emotions: Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment – each brought to life by a familiar voice from the entertainment industry.
The trailer offers a first look at Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke of “Stranger Things” fame. Kelsey Mann, the director of the film, hinted at Anxiety’s impactful presence, describing her as a character who, despite being new, refuses to stay in the background.
Following Anxiety, viewers are introduced to Envy, with Ayo Edebiri, celebrated for her Golden Globe-winning performances, lending her voice to this green-eyed character.
Adèle Exarchopoulos, known for her role in the critically acclaimed film “Blue Is The Warmest Colour,” voices Ennui, embodying the essence of boredom in a character draped in shades of lavender.
Completing the quartet is Embarrassment, portrayed by Paul Walter Hauser, an Emmy-winning actor known for his depth in comedy who perfectly captures the awkwardness and shyness of his character.
“Inside Out 2” is set to premiere on June 14, 2024, promising to be the highlight of the summer with its compelling narrative and emotional depth.
Pixar aims to recreate the magic of the first film by exploring the complexities of adolescence through these new emotions, alongside the original cast that viewers have grown to love.
The sequel reunites the audience with Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, with Amy Poehler returning as the ever-optimistic Joy.
Phyllis Smith and Lewis Black reprise their roles as Sadness and Anger, respectively, while Tony Hale and Liza Lapira take on the roles of Fear and Disgust, ensuring that the core emotions remain as relatable and endearing as ever.
“Inside Out 2” invites viewers to once again dive into the intricate world of Riley’s mind, exploring the challenges and changes of the teenage years with a fresh perspective.
With a release date set for the summer of 2024, the film is anticipated to be a cinematic event, offering a mix of humor, heartache, and the undeniable charm that the movie is renowned for.
