Hollywood actress Hunter Schafer recently opened up about the infidelity in her relationship with Dominic Fike, which ultimately led to their breakup. The two separated in April 2023, which is more than a year after Schafer’s revelation.
“Part of why the relationship ended is because I got cheated on for the first time,” recalled Schafer on an episode of Alex Cooper’s podcast ‘Call Her Daddy.’
“It’s part of my truth, but that fundamentally changed me as a person.” the actress added.

Hunter Schafer, 25, also shared that Dominic Fike, 28. was the first cis, straight-identifying man she’d ever dated. When she found out about her partner’s infidelity, she admitted that she blamed herself at first.
“As a trans woman, with a man who has never dated that (type of person) before,” she said. “Because of the way I’ve been socialized as a trans woman, it’s been this crux in my life of what life has been so hard sometimes, I was like, ‘Oh, god is this it? Can I just not?’”
She then realized later on that it had nothing to do with her. “It has everything to do with that person,” she said. “and whatever kind of pain they’re in or whatever they’re dealing with.” the actress added.
The actress also revealed that she already suspected Fike was unfaithful ahead of their breakup.
“You always know,” she said. She also admitted that she looked through Fike’s phone for confirmation. “Because I knew, I went to the phone—which I’m not proud of.”

But despite the alleged infidelity, Hunter Schafer looks back at their relationship fondly.
“It was one of the cleaner breakups I’ve had,” she said. “We both recognized that ‘This is not working, and we can’t do this. We gotta go our own separate ways.’ It was so hard. We loved each other. He was a really special person,” the actress said.
“He saw me exactly as who I was, which was amazing,” she added.
The former couple met when they were filming HBO’s hit TV series ‘Euphoria.’ Hunter Schafer was cast in Euphoria’s first season as Jules Vaughn, while Dominic Fike was introduced in the second season as a new character named Elliot.
