Global fashion and style icon Heart Evangelista finally speaks out about the alleged issue with Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach in a media event on Tuesday, October 22.

In an interview with Kapuso showbiz reporter Nelson Canlas, Evangelista was asked about her thoughts on being pitted against Wurtzbach.

Heart Evangelista responded, “Woman to woman, I never had a problem with Pia.”

“In fact, I was one of those who cheered for her in the past. And I’d like to think that it was the same for her. She was so sweet enough to even use and post the hashtag ‘Heart Made Me Do It,’ and at the time, I was so touched,” Evangelista continued.

Without dropping any names, she continued, “But it’s the people that she chose to surround herself with for specific reasons that make this whole thing problematic.”

When asked if Heart Evangelista has a message for Pia Wurtzbach, the fashion icon said, “Congratulations! You have what you needed. I wish you nothing but the best and good luck. Sana, sana hindi mangyari sa’yo ang ‘yung nagyari sa’kin.”

Heart Evangelista and Pia Wurtzbach have never openly confirmed their rumored rivalry, but it continues to be a hot topic for discussion among the media and their fans.

Evangelista is known as an actress, fashion icon, and socialite, while Wurtzbach rose to international fame when she won the title of the 2015 Miss Universe. Since then, she has transitioned into acting, hosting, and advocacy.

According to GMA Network, Heart Evangelista concluded the event with a message about forgiving and moving on.

“It’s time for us to sincerely move forward. It is what it is. Everybody must be happy. Try to take out the personal gain. I have forgiven,” she said.

“If there’s anybody that would understand somebody is somebody na tunay nagmahal, at minahal ko silang lahat. So still, I still understand. ‘Yun lang, tama na. Okay na ‘yun. I just want to stay on my lane. That’s it. I just want to stay on my lane,” Evangelista concluded.
