Gabbi Garcia is Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’s latest celebrity guest. During the interview, they discuss furthering her career in the entertainment industry. They even dabble in Gabbi, wanting to pursue a career in pageantry and wondering if she would ever run for public office.

The former Encantandia cast member shared that although pageants interest her, there’s still a lot to do. “The desire is there, I always tell that to all my interviewers. But when reality kicks in, you have things to consider. For example, contracts, ‘yung mga behind the scenes, endorsements, brands. So parang ito ang hindi alam ng mga tao na it’s a little bit complicated,” says Gabbi.

She also mentions that in her ten years in the showbiz industry, she has built her network and connections. This is something she has yet to do when wanting to enter pageants. She showcased her practicality when she discussed following her desires or fulfilling her commitments. “You want to be smart, but at the same time, you want to be passionate about it.”

Due to her passion for the career, Abunda asked her to do a sample question and answer portion. The interviewer asked her, “What makes women stronger than men?”

To this, Gabbi Garcia answered, “You know, it’s not about comparing men and women. It’s not about who’s better or who’s not. I feel like it’s just all about the difference. I feel like women are more resilient, women carry a lot of roles– a mother, a daughter, and a friend. And also kaya nga ilaw ng tahanan, she’s there to light up our house.”

When asked if she would get into politics, the actress and host answered, “Me? Oh my gosh, I don’t think so.”

Gabbi then expounded her answer by saying, “It’s not for me, you can help in a lot of ways and not enter politics. So, I don’t think it’s something I would tackle on, no.”

She further added, “Parang, masyadong siyang mabigat na responsibilidad. Kasi hindi lang ikaw ang iisipin mo, lahat ng kababayan mo, iisipin mo.” And she concludes her answer with, “There are certain people made for it, I don’t think someone can just run.”

Towards the end of the interview, Abunda asked Gabbi about her first love, Ruru Madrid. She clarified that her boyfriend, Khalil Ramos, is very secure in their relationship and doesn’t mind her addressing Ruru publicly. “He’s a smart person, he can handle things.”
