Alex Gonzaga shared a funny Valentine’s day anecdote involving her husband, Mikee Morada, on her sister Toni Gonzaga’s vlog “Our Husbands Try To Do Our Makeup For Valentine’s Day.”

In the vlog, the Gonzaga family sat together and had the wives let their husbands do their makeup for a date.

At one point, each of them shared a Valentine’s memory they had with each other. One of which was Alex’s anecdote.

The actress shared that three weeks before Valentine’s, she reminded Mikee to buy her flowers.

“Bumili ka na ng flowers sa Valentine’s.,” Alex said.

To which her husband responded with, “Huwag kang nakikialam, nakikialam ka eh. Huwag kang manguna.”

A similar exchange also happened the night before Valentine’s.

“‘Ahh ‘yan ka na naman nanguguna, kasi sinisira mo diskarte ko.’” she mimicked Mikee’s response.

Alex also shared the flower fiasco that occurred on Valentine’s day itself. Specifically when her husband called her at 5 PM.

“‘Sorry, sorry. Wala na talaga akong mabili… Ang mamahal!”

Alex added that Mikee bought her flowers that same day.

“Sa tagal ko siyang ini-remind, late pa din siya,” she said to which Mikee replied, “Baka mabulok eh.”

The humorous exchange highlights the playful dynamic between the couple. Despite the reminders and Mikee’s initial reluctance, he ultimately came through with the Valentine’s Day gesture.

It seems the Lipa City councilor may have had a plan on the day for his wife, albeit done at the last minute.

In the season of love, men usually prepare in advance to show their affection with their significant others. Alex Gonzaga and Mikee Morada’s story shows that every couple celebrates Valentine’s day differently.

While grand gestures are appreciated, sometimes it’s the thought and effort that counts even if it means braving the last-minute bouquet.
