The trailer for the highly anticipated documentary about the beloved Filipino band Eraserheads will premiere on Friday, July 26 (July 27 in Philippine time) at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).
Titled “Eraserheads: Combo on the Run,” the film takes its name from one of the band’s iconic songs featured on their album “Ultraelectromagneticpop!”
This documentary is written and directed by DVent Productions CEO Maria Diane Ventura, which marks her first feature since 2021’s “Deine Farbe” (Your Color). Ventura has garnered several accolades for her previous work, including Best German Feature at the Berlin Festival and Best Director at the International Film Festival Manhattan.

Production for the ‘Combo on the Run’ documentary began during the preparations for the December 2022 ‘Huling El Bimbo’ reunion concert in Manila, marking Eraserheads’ first performance together in over a decade.
The press release described the event as “a monumental gathering that provided reprieve to a nation still grappling from the aftermath of a divisive political year.”
