The Department of Transportation (DOTr) clarified on January 18, 2022, Tuesday, that workers that have not yet received their vaccines or have not yet completed their second dose can board public transport.
Artemio Tuazon, the DOTr Undersecretary stated that essential travel such as buying food and water are also exempted from the “no vax, no ride” policy. Tuazon further stated that workers must, however, present a certificate of employment or company ID. He also added that the industries must be allowed operation during the Alert LEvel 3 status.
Moreover, Tuazon said on CNN Philippines’ New Day that commuters who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated but have appointments for passport processing or license application or renewal can ride public transportation. The commuters need only show proof of their appointment.
