MANILA, Philippines – Now that the christmas holidays has finally ended, trending searches include “may pasok ba sa january 3 2024, may pasok ba ngayon?” According to the guidelines in Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 022, titled ‘Implementing Guidelines on the School Calendar and Activities for the School Year 2023-2024,’ the Christmas break for public schools, state universities, and colleges will be from December 18, 2023, to January 02, 2024, as stated on Page 10 of the order.

DepEd has stated that classes will resume on January 03, 2024. The memorandum also states that the end of School Year 2023-2024 is scheduled between June 17 and August 25, 2024.

There has been no recent update regarding the DepEd memorandum. Nonetheless, DepEd has emphasized its commitment to ensuring the smooth execution of the K to 12 Curriculum, aligning with the goals and objectives of the MATATAG agenda.

DepEd also notes that if unexpected situations such as natural disasters, armed conflicts, health emergencies, or other crises disrupt classes, further directives will be issued to adjust the school calendar.
