Each chef was tasked with creating their own version of Halo-Halo in 10 minutes, bringing with them a unique secret ingredient to elevate their creations.

Danica came in with her kamias, a sour fruit found across the country while Ninong Ry went for a simple coco jam. Judy Ann had her black sesame polvoron and Bea on the other hand, brought tibuok salt, one of the rarest salt in the Philippines.

As soon as the timer started, each chef showcased their individual styles and techniques while racing against time.

As the countdown reached its final 60 seconds, anticipation built among them and spectators.

Ramsay, as is in a real Master Chef competition, went around to ask questions on what they’re doing with their dish while also throwing in a bit of humor.

Once time was up, each chef presented their creations, describing their ingredients and inspirations.

Ramsay took a taste of each, particularly having a humorous exchange with Ninong Ry saying, “That is sweet…I can feel my arteries jamming up.” to which Ninong Ry responded with, “That’s what it’s supposed to do.”

Ramsay says it was tough but there was one he felt had an edge that separated the balance. The challenge concluded with Danica Lucero as the winner.

On another note, Ninong Ry, being comedic as he is, posted on Instagram with the caption, “Ninong Ry binigyan ng diabetes si @gordongram HAHAHAHA”
