22-year-old college student Allan Vincent Eugenio was shot dead several times by two suspects in Pasig City.

CCTV footage revealed that the two individuals came to Allan, with one of them pulling out his gun and shooting him. Allan attempted to run despite being injured but was eventually put down by the suspects. They fled the scene and took his motorcycle with them.

The victim’s family rushed outside to find Allan lying on the ground afterward.

“May narinig akong putok, apat na putok. Tapos yung anak kong pangalawa gumising, bababa, sabi ko wag ka bababa, kasi baril yun. Maya-maya pa, may narinig ako, ‘Mommy, daddy.’ Sabi ko, ‘Anak ko yun ha’. Kaya lumabas kami. Nung lumabas kami ng bahay nakita ko yung anak ko nakahandusay na,” the mother said.

Police reports confirmed that he was shot 10 times. Furthermore, they have also concluded that the suspects were really after the victim’s motorcycle. They were able to arrest the suspects in less than 24 hours.

Pasig City Police Chief PCol. Hendrix Mangaldan announced that the suspects were charged with violation of the carnapping law, illegal possession of firearms, and murder. He also revealed that they have been charged for similar activities.

“Modus operandi nila na mag-carnap ng motorcycle and then ‘pag medyo may resistance ‘yung biktima, binabaril,” said Mangaldan.

Allan’s family mourned his death and was devastated by the police’s report confirming the suspects’ intentions.

“Bakit ganun yung ginawa niyo sa anak ko? Kung intensyon niyong agawin yung motor niya, sana kinuha niyo na lang, bakit pinatay niyo pa?” the mother said.
The online community has also expressed their reactions to the recent Pasig City shooting, with many expressing their disgust at the crime.
