Coach Pablo Emotional in The Voice Kids Philippines Battle Round

The Voice Kids Philippines coach Pablo turns emotional as he chooses among his three contestants during the Battle Round. The TV show highlight shows him congratulating the three kids and how evidently tough it was for him to choose. So, who among Hannah, Keith, and Shamchienel did Pablo choose?

Before The Voice Kids Philippines Battle Round began, Pablo already said, “Sa totoo lang, wala akong gusto pakawalan. Ngayon palang, di pa sila nagpeperform, naiiyak na ako eh.”

The three contestants performed Lady Gaga’s “Always Remember Us This Way” for the first set of Battle Rounds. The kids delivered such a beautiful and emotional performance, making it hard for their mentor to choose just one to go through the competition.

Before announcing his choice, the coach made sure to validate and assure his team. “Gusto kong sabihin, sobrang proud ako sainyo. Katulad ng sinasabi ko– Kasi during the rehearsals, sinasabi ko sa kanila, ‘If you want to do something, mag-committ ka. Huwag kang mag hesitate kasi mawawala ‘yung emosyon.’ And you did just that, kaya, oh my goodness!”

Ultimately, Pablo chose Shamchienel (sometimes addressed as Shamchie) to push through the competition. After sharing his decision, he quickly came up to the kids to hug and congratulate them despite his emotional state. “Galing niyo sobra,” he said.

After the three contestants retreated backstage, Pablo jokingly told the show’s host Dingdong Dantes, “Gusto mo ba palit nalang tayo?”

When talking about her performance, coach Pau said, “Ang performance niya, puso kung puso talaga. Talagang tumagos sa laman ko ‘yung sinasabi ng kanta. And ‘yun naman prinaktis namin during rehearsals. Techniques na gagamitin, pero most importantly, kailangang maka leave sila ng mark sa mga tao. And ‘yun naman ‘yung nanyari kanina. Ramdam na randam ko, kaya congratulations Shamchie, napakahusay mo.”

Moreover, Pablo wasn’t the only emotional coach in last night’s Battle Round episode. Fellow SB19 member and coach Stell also appeared to shed a few tears.

The other coach had to choose between his three contestants, Hebron, Brianna, and Jireh.

Stell chose Hebron and after he also went up to hug the three contestants on stage. “I’m so proud of you,” the coach said.
