TONDO, MANILA — On Saturday afternoon in Tondo, Manila, a fast truck ran over a nine-year-old child, killing him instantly. The boy’s head had been crushed and was on the point of being severed.

The police arrested the truck driver, identified as Robert Soriaga, 47, of 40 Don Pepe Street, Barangay Sto. Domingo, Quezon City

The incident occurred around 5 pm on Saturday in the northbound lane along the Del Pan Service Road corner of San Simon Street.

Soriaga was driving his trailer truck when the kid was run over by the right rear wheel, according to an early police investigation.

Soriaga was detained in an MPD detention center while his truck was confiscated. He will be prosecuted with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide by the Manila Prosecutor’s Office. – WhatALife!
