Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo is garnering media attention once again as he eyes a possible cameo role in the popular series “Batang Quiapo.” He shared his open thoughts about being in the series and whether he would be invited despite lacking acting experience.
“Kung iimbitahan po ako ni Sir Coco Martin sa ‘Batang Quiapo’ kahit isang shooting day lang, papayag ako,” Carlos said. “Game na game po ako. Bahala na po si Direk Coco kung ano ‘yong magiging role ko.”

Yulo and Coco Martin met during the former’s visit to the ABS-CBN compound on August 27th. During the visit, the two bonded, with the veteran actor congratulating Yulo for his performance.
Coco asked Yulo if he was interested in joining the “Batang Quiapo” cast in a guest role. Yulo admitted he is open to the idea but is not confident in his acting ability. Coco even suggested that Yulo might be able to make a guest appearance on the show if his schedule allows. It was after this exchange and meeting that Yulo shared his interest in the role in various interviews.

Carlos Yulo has been under the spotlight after his performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, receiving praise and gifts. In the latest “Carlos Yulo” news, he renewed his endorsement on DigitPlus and ArenaPlus as a brand ambassador.
