Overseas fans were disappointed when not all members of BINI attended KCON LA. The leader of the eight-member Philippine P-Pop girl group, Jhoanna, was absent from the event. However, fans were thrilled to learn that she arrived just in time for ASAP Natin To in California.
When the Nation’s Girl Group first traveled to California for the event, they were divided into two batches. The first group to board the flight included Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, and Stacey, while Mikha, Sheena, and Jhoanna were scheduled for a later flight. Ultimately, only Mikha and Sheena left the country during this trip.
Before boarding the plane, BINI’s Maloi shared her excitement in an interview with ABS-CBN, stating, “Super excited kasi ang tagal na rin naming hindi nakakabalik sa US. And now makakabalik na kami, and syempre KCON, isa ito sa mga dreams namin na makapagperform sa international stage.”

In the same interview, Maloi expressed their excitement not just for performing, but also for exploring new experiences. The group was thrilled during their visit to Disneyland together.
However, images of Jhoanna began circulating online, showing her in a wheelchair and dealing with health issues. Unfortunately, this led to her missing the flight and ultimately KCON LA. Despite their leader’s absence, BINI showcased their talent at KCON LA and managed to deliver a strong performance.
The girls shared their sentiments about Jhoanna missing KCON LA, yet they wished her a speedy recovery and all the best.
Fortunately, Jhoanna made it just in time for their ASAP Natin To California appearance. With the group back together, the #8INI_REUNION trended on X (formerly Twitter). They also held a fan meet and greet with all eight members.

In this special meet-and-greet, fans shared how proud they are of the group. Chanelle from California said, “It’s amazing. I’ve seen them at KCON and at the Panel as well, and now I’m seeing them. It’s amazing to see where they are right now.”
BINI members were also allowed to speak and share their fondest memories as a group. Maloi shared, ‘“I think ‘yung memorable part is noong i-announce ni Direk kami ang eight. That was the beginning.”
