Since its first run on the GMA Network, The Voice Kids Philippines continues to air its auditions to secure the judges’ final roster. Last night’s episode showcased Genesis Satur’s audition. Unfortunately, no one turned, but he didn’t leave with a completely bad experience of the show either.

Eight-year-old Genesis put himself out there at a young age to audition for The Voice Kids Philippines. In his interview, he says that he is the youngest of four siblings. He has two older brothers and one older sister, who is his favorite.

He said that he and his sister share a love for singing. Prior to his audition, he hoped coach Julie Ann San Jose would add him to her team. He says that he’s a fan due to her performance in “Maria Clara at Ibarra.”

Genesis sang “Dancing Monkeys” for his audition. Unfortunately, none of the four judges turned for him. This resulted in the eight-year-old crying but coach Billy Crawford quickly came to his rescue.

“Huwag kang umiyak, don’t cry. You know why? You did great! You know what, you did great. Tignan mo, pumapalakpak, humihiyaw ang mga tao oh,” Billy said.

The father and coach continued, “You did wonderful. You did really good, okay? Ang maganda sa’yo is ‘yung kanta na pinili mo ay pinapasayaw mo at binibigyan mo kami ng energy. And that’s what we wanted. We wanted something like that.”

“Pero, alam mo gusto sana kitang tulungan na parang kahit sa rhythm. Kasi ang importante sa pagkanta is ‘yung rhythm eh. Gusto mo sabayan ka namin kantahin itong kantang to?” Billy asked.

Julie also quickly nodded and agreed, “Yeah,” she said. The four judges, including SB19 member Stell and SB19 Pablo, stood up to perform with Genesis.

As Genesis performed his song again, The Voice Kids Philippines coaches danced around him, hyping him up for his performance. Additionally, the audience continued to applaud for the eight-year-old dreamer.
