BIGBANG’s Taeyang made VIPs emotional by sharing photos of him and fellow band members G-Dragon and Daesung on Instagram. The photos were taken from Taeyang’s ‘The Light Year’ concert in Seoul, South Korea, on Sunday, September 1.
Among the photos were Daesung performing on stage and G-Dragon back hugging Taeyang on stage. But what struck fans the most was a photo of the three on stage. It marked the first time the three BIG BANG members were all in one stage after seven years of hiatus.

During the second day of Taeyang’s ‘The Light Year’ concert, he delighted his fans with a surprise performance of ‘We Like 2 Party’ with G-Dragon and Daesung. The song was a friendship anthem from BIG BANG’s 2016 album, ‘Made.’ Taeyang and G-Dragon also took the stage to sing their track ‘Good Boy.’
Of course, VIPS can’t help but gush over their beloved K-pop group on Instagram. Some commented on how much they missed the members.
“Thank you YB for this reunion 😭😭💛💛💛” one fan said.
BIG BANG debuted in 2006 under YG Entertainment and became one of South Korea’s most popular boy groups ever. The group originally had five members, but Seungri left the band in 2019 after his involvement in a Burning Sun Scandal. Another member, T.O.P., later left the group in 2023.

Despite their long hiatus, YG Entertainment hasn’t explicitly disbanded the group. That’s why fans still hope for a reunion, even under a different label.
BIG BANG made their last comeback in April 2022 by releasing ‘Still Life,’ a song about a heartfelt goodbye to their youth and legacy as a K-pop group.
Taeyang’s ‘The Light Year’ tour follows the release of his most recent EP, ‘Down to Earth,’ released in April 2023.
