Child star Bea Binene visits Toni Gonzaga to talk about her upbringing in the industry. She was with GMA for eighteen years before transferring to Viva for her personal growth. In the interview, Bea wore her “Pasahero” movie shirt, which is her latest project with Viva.
The nearly twenty-minute vlog tackles Bea’s life and how much she’s grown since starting in showbusiness. She shared that when she started at Starstruck Kids, she met Toni once. It was so long ago that they took the photo on a film camera.

Before going on about her experiences as an actress and entertainer, Toni and Bea Binene talked about her family life. She shared that she grew up with a single mom but still maintained a relationship with her father.
Binene also mentioned that her dad didn’t initially want her to be an actress when she was younger. She stated that he’s a very traditional Chinese man.
Bea started in the industry at the age of six and is now twenty-six. This makes her total experience as an actress twenty years.
Moreover, Bea said that sometimes she felt tired of her job, especially during her awkward stage. Despite the circumstances, she’s still very thankful for all of her opportunities.
She said, “You get to know yourself more, tapos marerealize mo– mas mafefeel mo ang bad days mo. Narealize mo ang mga mas gusto mong gawin sa buhay.”
During her teen years, she starred in the GMA series Tween Hearts. A few of the teen stars of the show included, Barbie Forteza, Joshua Dionisio, Jake Vargas, and Bea Binene.

When asked if she ever felt burnout that she wanted to quit being an actress.
“Meron, kasi ang hirap magpapayat, nakakafrustrate.”
Toni then added that child stars grow up very differently from traditional children,
“We’re in showbiz. We’re in the business of show. Everything is for show, even if you’re having a bad day, you cannot show (it).”
When talking about her realizations about growing up in the public eye, Bea said, “Narealize ko, showbiz can eat you up.”
Bea added, “Diba ang tanong lagi kapag ano– ano ang tip mo sa kanila (younger stars)? Ako laging, ‘Don’t let it eat you up.’”
Furthermore, she said that it’s important not to lose yourself in the industry.
“Para kasi saakin, hindi ito ‘yung world ko. Parang there’s so much more into life, ganyan.”
Toni Gonzaga’s vlog also subtly mentioned Bea Binene’s boyfriend. The actress shared that her heart is happy.
