BDO Unibank has announced that its Cash Card services will be discontinued by March 31, 2025. 

After this date, all existing Cash Card holders will no longer be able to use their cards for transactions.

The BDO Cash Card, a prepaid reloadable card, has been widely used for payroll, remittances, and personal expenses. 

BDO advises customers to withdraw or use any remaining balance before the deadline, as funds will no longer be accessible afterward.

To replace the Cash Card, BDO recommends the BDO Pay Card, which offers enhanced security and functionality. 

Unlike the Cash Card, the BDO Pay Card is linked to a bank account, allowing users to withdraw cash, make purchases online and in-store, and manage funds more efficiently. 

Another alternative is the BDO Pay app, which enables customers to send money, pay bills, and make QR payments via mobile devices.

In a statement, BDO confirmed that Cash Card holders can visit their nearest branch to replace their cards for free with a BDO Pay Card. 

This initiative aims to ease the transition to a more advanced banking solution.

How to Use the BDO Pay Card:

1. Activate the Card – Follow the activation instructions provided upon receiving the card.
2. Link to BDO Pay App – Download the BDO Pay app and link the card for seamless transactions.
3. Load Funds – Transfer money via online banking or over-the-counter deposits.
4. Make Purchases – Use the card for cashless payments at stores and online merchants.
5. Withdraw Cash – Access funds at ATMs nationwide.
6. Pay Bills & Transfer Funds – Use the app for bill payments and money transfers.
