She and David Licauco are thrilled to be working together again on the new GMA Network drama, “Pulang Araw.” During GMA News Online’s set visit in Sampaloc, Manila, David, also known as the Pambansang Ginoo, expressed his joy about reuniting with Barbie.
“BarDa has reunited and it feels so good,” he shared enthusiastically. “Hopefully, nandun pa rin yung chemistry na nagustuhan ng mga tao” (“Hopefully, the chemistry that people loved is still there”).
Barbie echoed his sentiments, expressing her happiness at collaborating with David across different genres and characters. Their on-screen chemistry has been widely celebrated, especially following the success of their loveteam in “Maria Clara at Ibarra” and “Maging Sino Ka Man.”
“I always see him in a different light, so ang saya,” Barbie remarked, adding that their approach to creating characters is always fresh and dynamic. She elaborated, “Ako naman, hindi ko naman siya tinatanong kung papaano niya binubuo ‘yung character. Nakikita ko nalang pag magkaeksena kami” (“I don’t ask him how he builds his character. I just see it when we have a scene together”).
