Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo is expected to be flown back to the Philippines on Thursday evening, September 5. Committee on Public Services Chairperson Senator Raffy Tulfo confirmed the news.

According to reports, Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos and Philippine National Police Chief PGen. Rommel Marbil will accompany Guo. They will leave Jakarta, Indonesia, at around 1 PM and expect to arrive in the Philippines at 6:18 PM on chartered flight RP-C6188.

“Aalis sila ng Indonesia bandang ala una ng hapon,” Tulfo said.

Abalos and Marbil arrived in Jakarta early Thursday morning to recover the ex-mayor from the authorities. Alice Guo was successfully captured by the Indonesian police in Tangerang City early Wednesday morning.

“The team, along with the Indonesian Police Attaché to the Philippines, departed Manila at 11:30 PM via private plane and arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Jakarta, Indonesia, at 2:30 PM,” the Philippine National Police (PNP) said in a statement.

“The SILG and CPNP will meet with Indonesian officials to ensure proper coordination. Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia, Her Excellency Gina Jamoralin, will also join the discussions,” the PNP added.

According to Tulfo, Abalos is carrying the Senate-issued warrant of arrest for Guo. In addition, the Bureau of Immigration and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) are currently processing Guo for her return to the Philippines.

On Wednesday, Senator Risa Hontiveros said that the Senate would detain Alice Guo after her return to the country.

At a press briefing, NBI Director Jaime Santiago revealed that Alice Guo cut her hair off in an effort to conceal her identity. Guo is currently facing a human trafficking complaint connected to the raided Philippine Online Gaming Operations (POGO) hub, along with a money laundering complaint filed with the Department of Justice (DOJ).
