aldub fans continue to boycott eat bulaga for 2024

Fans are again taking to social media to boycott Eat Bulaga, the popular noontime show, amidst memories of the former duo Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards before their announcement to pursue solo projects. The fanbase blames the show for allegedly breaking up the “AlDub” duo.

The boycott attempts stem from concerns, anger, and a deep dedication to the AlDub chemistry, with hopes of seeing the duo thrive together. Fans feel that Eat Bulaga has not properly acknowledged their past partnerships and are insisting on a reunion.

With Mendoza’s engagement to Arjo Atayde, fans are increasingly convinced that a reunion is off the table. The hashtag #BOYCOTTEatBulaga has trended, highlighting the community’s dissatisfaction and demand for transparency regarding the show’s treatment of its stars.

Recently, the trend has resurfaced with the hashtag #BOYCOTTEatBulaga1231 currently trending in the Philippines. Various online users are reminiscing about the duo’s past, with one user captioning a post, “Together Forever! Ctto,” and concluding with, “NO TO SOLO PROJECTS. ALDUB PA RIN.”

“Dito, hindi napigilan ni M ang pagaalala kay A, on national TV yan ha ..” another user posted.

One user even commented on the 2024 State of the Nation Address (SONA) mentioning that Arjo Atayde is a congressman in Quezon City. “So, nasa #SONA2024  naman pala kahapon. Hindi nga lang nadaanan ng camera at  baka sa may C.R. ipinwesto ang rep ng Dist 1 QC! Kumbakit hindi binitbit iyong “asawa”, kayo na mag‐conclude!”

One user has congratulated the fanbase, highlighting that his post shows #BOYCOTTEatBulaga1231 has made it to the Top Trends in the Philippines.

Many other posts range from short prayer verses to simple random phrases. However, each post includes the quote: “NO TO SOLO PROJECTS ALDUB PA RIN.”
