Swedish pop band ABBA has demanded Donald Trump to stop playing their music at his campaign rallies. This happened after the Republican presidential nominee played ABBA’s hits. The songs played during the rally included, ‘Dancing Queen,’ ‘The Winner Takes It All,’ ‘Money, Money, Money,’ and ‘Waterloo’ in St Cloud, Minnesota, on Tuesday, August 27.
In addition to their music, Trump reportedly played film footage of the ABBA members on a big video screen at the hockey stadium. These displayed messages urging people to donate.

A spokesperson for the Trump campaign said that they had obtained a license to play the band’s music, “The campaign had a license to play ABBA music through our agreement with BMI and ASCAP,” the spokesperson told AP news.
However, Universal Music, ABBA’s record company, said that Trump didn’t ask permission to use the band’s music or videos.
“We have demanded that (the material) be taken down and removed,” Universal Music told AFP in an email.
“Universal Music Publishing AB and (record company) Polar Music International AB have not received any request (to use the music), so no permission or licence has been given to Trump,” it said.
The record company has also asked for footage from the event to be “immediately taken down and removed.”
