Last year was fraught with uncertainties and a whole lot of adjustments. Quarantines and lockdowns forced everyone to stay home for safety’s sake. It affected the livelihoods of some, and for families with children who want to pursue education in any way possible, it could be tough.
Fortunately, there are corporations that have started scholarship programs as part of their corporate social responsibility to help bright, young students who are eager to finish their academic pursuits despite their poor financial situation.
Below is a list of corporate-funded scholarships available for the school year 2021-2022.
Security Bank Foundation Scholars for Better Communities College Scholarship Program
Security Bank Foundation, Inc. partners with De La Salle University to support the education of one economically challenged but deserving undergraduate student that is enrolled in any of the following courses: Accountancy, Marketing, Financial Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics.
Eligible applicants are undergraduate students already enrolled in DLSU enrolled in any of the courses mentioned above and have a weighted average of 90% or its equivalent. The chosen scholar will enjoy tuition and miscellaneous coverage worth up to P100,000 for one academic year and a monthly stipend of P5,000 for 10 months.

Megaworld Foundation Inc. Scholarship Program
Megaworld Inc. is a real estate company established back in 1989. The company then established Megaworld Foundation Inc. ten years later and one of its first initiatives was a college scholarship program tohelp out bright but needy kids. This program has since then expanded as the foundation has given a total of 5,800 grants from S.Y. 2007 to 2018 in over 20 partner universities.
Scholars have full tuition coverage, allowances every school year and future career opportunities with Megaworld and its subsidiaries and affiliates.
They’re accepting applications online for incoming freshmen, sophomores, and junior college students. Those who are eligible for this program must have at least an 85% average and at least 80% grade in all subjects.

Huawei-Mapúa Scholarship
China-based company Huawei Technologies Phils. Inc signed a scholarship agreement with Mapúa University in the later part of 2020 for students enrolled in engineering courses. Huawei has previously given scholarship grants to students of UP College of Engineering last year and has extended its educational assistance efforts to a new partner university.
This scholarship grant is only eligible for third- to fifth-year Mapúa engineering students majoring in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Computer Engineering. Scholars will get full tuition coverage.

Assistance for the Completion of College Education for Superior Students (ACCESS)
Another Metrobank Foundation scholarship program is ACCESS that aims to provide 50 scholarship grants nationwide to students. The third phase has been launched, with phases I and II producing over 400 graduates.
This program is eligible for students taking up courses in the fields of education, information technology, engineering, and business administration. The partner institutions for this program are accredited by CHED as centers of excellence and development in the above-mentioned fields.

SM College Scholarship Program SY 2021-2022
The SM Foundation has provided college scholarships for 2 decades now, with the number of graduates they produced reaching over 3,000. Their efforts to provide financial aid for the education of youth all over the country are still going strong as they’re accepting applications again for this school year.
Their program offers a slew of different courses, from engineering degrees, business and accounting, to education. Scholars enjoy full tuition coverage, monthly allowances, and exclusive job offers with SM upon graduation among others.
Applicants must have at least a weighted average of 88% with a total household income of at most P150,000 a year. Application is also done online.

VIVANT STEM scholarship 2021
Vivant is a publicly listed holding company based here in the Philippines mainly involved in power generation, power distribution and retail electricity supply business. The company, to propel its corporate social responsibility efforts forward, established Vivant Foundation Inc. in 2014 and has had various community programs including a STEM scholarship program. This program intends to provide financial assistance for senior high students who wish to pursue STEM degrees in college.
Applicants with at least an 85% average and is a participant of the Regional Science and Technology Fair Region 7 are eligible. Those who wish to apply can download the application form on their website and submit the requirements via email.

MBFI-Boysen Scholarship Program
The Metrobank Foundation established this 4-year scholarship program in partnership with Pacific Paint “Boysen” Philippines back in 2005 to help 2nd year college students from the University of the Philippines-Diliman and University of Santo Tomas.
Last September 2020, MBFI and Boysen Philippines signed another agreement to launch the second phase of this program and added National University as an academic partner.
Eligible applicants for the second phase of the program are 2nd year Architecture students studying in UP Diliman, UST, or NU. They aim to award 15 scholarship grants.

Aboitiz College Scholarship Program (ACSP)
The Aboitiz Foundation established the ACSP back in 2000 and has since then assisted nearly 1,000 students in the fields of data science, digital transformation, engineering, information technology, sales, e-commerce, agriculture and nutrition. This year, continue their efforts to empower promising youth who needs assistance as they announce that they’re open for applications for the SY 2021-2022.
The scholarship provides full tuition fee coverage, monthly allowances, and even board review fees for courses that require board examinations after graduation.
Applicants must be an incoming freshman of an eligible college or university, pursuing a degree in the above-mentioned fields, and has a weighted average of 88% with no failing or incomplete grade. Applications can be submitted online on their website along with other requirements.

AYF Scholarship Program
Formerly known as the Bayanihan Foundation, the Alfonso Yuchecngco Foundation originally set up an educational fund for the deserving children of Grepalife employees but later expanded to include the financially needy youth, specifically cultural minorities and center-based street children.
The grants are available for any grade level so grade school up to college level applicants are eligible provided certain criteria are met. Tuition coverage depends on the income brackets of the applicant’s parents or guardians. Yearly allowances are also included.
