weather update november 3 2022

WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the trough or extension of the LPA (Low-Pressure Area), formerly TD (Tropical Depression) QUEENIE, continues to affect portions of Visayas and Mindanao.

PAGASA continues to monitor the STS (Severe Tropical Storm) NALGAE (formerly PAENG), and based on the latest data, the STS NALGAE is now located 845 km West of Extreme Northern Luzon (22.0°N, 113.8°E). It has maximum sustained winds of 85 km per hour near the center and a gustiness of up to 115 km per hour. Currently, it is moving West Northwestward at 15 km per hour.

Meanwhile, the LPA, formerly known as QUEENIE, is now located 420 km East of General Santos City (6.1°N, 128.9°E). It is expected to affect a large portion of Eastern Visayas, and portions of Mindanao.

Inaasahan natin na ang Low-Pressure Area na ito ay magdadala parin ng kaulapan na may kalat-kalat na pag ulan, pagkulog, at pag kidlat throughout the day,” said PAGASA Weather Forecaster Daniel James Villamil.

(The Low-Pressure Area is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms throughout the day.)
