Selena Gomez is now closing her ‘Same Old Love’ chapter.   After four years of releasing droplet singles, Selena Gomez dropped off scathing ballad ‘Lose You To Love Me’ as the lead single for her upcoming third studio album. Sharing it out to the world at midnight on Tuesday, the 27-year-old singer gave everyone a glimpse of what she has been through in the last few years. Along with it, Gomez also released a music video (which by the way shot on an iPhone 11 Pro), where she uncovered series of raw emotions—from anger to sadness and, eventually, to freedom and joy.
We’d always go into it blindly I needed to lose you to find me This dancing was killing me softly I needed to hate you to love me… —Lose You To Love Me (Pre-chorus)
Aside from preaching self-love, Gomez also seemingly alluded in the heartbreaking track her side of the story regarding her on-and-off relationship with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber which finally concluded in March 2018.
This song was inspired by many things that have happened in my life since releasing my last album. I want people to feel hope and to know you will come out the other side stronger and a better version of yourself. — Selena Gomez
