On Tuesday, May 3, Regina’s husband, the Batangas Gov. Dodo Mandanas, stated that her leg had undergone amputation to prevent the spread of a sudden infection. He also said that his wife’s immune system weakened, resulting from their exhaustion during the campaign season.

The provincial government of Batangas gave a statement on Thursday, May 5, on its Facebook page expressing its deep condolences to governor Mandanas following his wife’s recent death.

After their released statement for the governor, they also shared the information of late Atty. Regina Mandanas’ wake will be held on Wednesday, May 11, at Heritage Park after the 9:00 AM Mass.

According to Batangas Provincial Information Office, her husband prioritizes raising the level and extending health benefits in their city, which led her to one of her advocacies, the “Free Treatment” for the people, especially those in need.

The influence of her husband is also her reason for her participation in and promotion to the party-list.

She is known to be a town servant and actively participates in provincial development initiatives, promoting programs for women to value the health and welfare of citizens.

Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines Lord Allan Velasco gave his statement to express his deep sadness.

“Her years of service to her home province of Marinduque as Provincial Administrator and as Representative, and as the First Lady of Batangas, have truly endeared her to the people of both provinces. Her legacy of public service will never be forgotten,” he stated. – WhatALife!
