Oil companies announce fuel price rollback starting May 17

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Over the last two months, fuel costs have been on a massive price changes. This week, starting May 17, there will be a fuel price rollback according to oil companies.

Unioil estimated that the price per liter of diesel would drop by P2.90 to P3.00 during the trading week of May 17 to 23, 2022.

Seaoil announced that the price of kerosene will drop by P2.10 per liter.

Meanwhile, gasoline prices are expected to drop between P0.40 to P0.60 per liter.



The reduction comes after oil companies forced a significant hike, with per-liter gasoline costs increasing by P4.20 and diesel rates increasing by P4.20.

Every Monday, oil firms usually announce price changes that will take effect the following day.
