SEOUL, South Korea — Global K-pop sensation NewJeans will continue their activities under their management label ADOR, following a series of legal disputes and months of uncertainty surrounding the group’s future. The update marks a turning point for the NewJeans members (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein). It’s known that the group have dominated the global music scene since their debut.
On November 12, ADOR confirmed that Haerin and Hyein have decided to uphold their exclusive contracts after “careful discussions with their families.” The agency shared the statement with Billboard, emphasizing that the decision aligns with the Seoul Central District Court’s October 30 ruling affirming the validity of the members’ contracts.
“The two members have decided to respect the court’s latest ruling and adhere to their exclusive contract with the label,” ADOR said. “ADOR is committed to providing its full support to HAERIN and HYEIN to ensure the seamless continuation of their artistic endeavors.”
The label also urged fans to refrain from spreading unverified information, noting that speculation has intensified across social media platforms.
It’s worth noting that NewJeans maintains one of the strongest digital fandoms in the industry, averaging over 13 million monthly Spotify listeners and 12.6 million followers on Tiktok.
The group’s continued popularity shows the high public interest surrounding the news of their return.
Status of Minji, Hanni, and Danielle
While multiple Korean media outlets reported that the remaining members, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle, have also expressed their intent to stay with ADOR. In fact, the agency clarified that they are still “checking whether the three members intend to return.”
ADOR explained that its statement was delayed due to logistical challenges, sharing that one member is currently in Antarctica for a scheduled commitment.
As of now, the company is waiting for the members’ official response before releasing a unified public statement about a full new jeans return to ADOR.
