Mardomel Celo Domingo Melicor has been appointed as the Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar by the Commission on Appointments (CA). Diplomat Raymund Ondiano shared the news on his Facebook post on September 10, 2024.

“I wish to convey my sincerest congratulations to Mr. Mardomel Celo Melicor for his (CA) confirmation (today) as Philippine Ambassador to Qatar,” he stated in his post.

Senator Jinggoy Estrada endorsed the approval of the appointment to Melicor last Tuesday. He also approved Daniel Ramos Espiritu and Mary Ann Alfonso Padua as Ambassadors to Ireland and the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, respectively.
