CALIFORNIA, USA — Katrina Dimaranan, a beauty queen with a 10-year pageantry journey, announced on April 25 that she is giving up pageants in favor of pursuing different goals.

Katrina shared in her Instagram post on April 24 a video showing her shots during her pageant career over the years.

Maureen Wroblewitz, a model and beauty queen, shows her support by commenting, “Love youuu!!! ❤️❤️❤️.”

In addition, Ayn Bernos, content creator and a former candidate in the pageant, also shared a comment with the same sentiment as Maureen.

An inspirational message was then her ending caption to her post for her fans and supporters announcing her hoping for them to reach their dreams and be delighted to be part of their success.

She said that her experiences during her pageantry journey made her come to terms with her past and inspired others to follow their dreams.

The former beauty queen, currently a nursing student in the US, had given her statement informing everyone about her absence during the passing of the title on the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2022 coronation night due to issues with her residency status.

“Along with issues with my US residency, I have been occupied and focused with my nursing career, and believe me, I really tried to make it work,” she said.

She began her pageant career in 2012, with a first-place finish in Binibining Pilipinas Tourism. In 2018, she represented the United States at Miss Supranational, where she got the first runner-up place. Returning to the Philippines in 2021, she won Miss Universe Philippines Tourism.
