Covid-19 cases daily average down by 10 percent

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — On Monday, September 5, the DOH (Department of Health) reported that the average of COVID-19 cases from August 29 to September 4 had gone down by 10 percent.

The previous record from August 22 to 28 was 2,752 cases; in the recent week, the number decreased to 2,449.

The latest case bulletin shows that there were 17,145 new cases and 354 verified deaths. In addition, DOH said that 108 additional deaths occurred from August 22 to September 4.

The number of severe and critical infections had decreased from 807 the previous week to 768 this recent week, but 40 new cases were added to the tally in the same period.



Out of the 2,529 ICU (intensive care units) beds, only 595, or 23.5 percent, are being utilized, while 29.3 percent of non-ICU beds, which is 5,974 out of 20,387, are currently in use.

To this day, around 72,620,347, or 92.98 percent, of the new administration’s target population, which is 78,100,578, are vaccinated against Covid-19, this includes 78.14 of 8,721,357 senior citizens.

As of September 4, out of the fully vaccinated population, 18,194,645 individuals have received booster shots. –WhatALife!/Zed
